Mobility

Developers use Mobility service to provide their app users the ability to move efficiently from one location to another. This service encompasses various modes of transportation such as public transportation, shared mobility options like bikes and scooters, and ride-hailing services provided by transport operators. The goal of Mobility service is to provide people with access to transportation options that are safe, efficient, reliable, and sustainable.

Components of Mobility Service#

The Mobility Service has four key components:

  • Discoverability: The ability for users to easily find and access transportation options such as public transport, shared mobility options, and ride-hailing services, as well as parking spots and other transportation-related information. This ability is achieved using the Planning API.

  • Availability: The ability for users to access transportation options in real-time, including information about schedules, pricing, and availability. This ability is achieved using the Booking API.

  • Fulfillment: The ability for users to book and pay for transportation options through a mobile device or application, including reserving public transport tickets, shared mobility options, and ride-hailing services. The Events API helps achieve this ability.

  • Post-Fulfillment: The ability for users to access real-time information and alerts about the transportation options they have booked, including notifications about disruptions, location, and status, as well as real-time traffic and transportation information to help plan and optimize journeys.

Automicle API and SDK are designed to help developers to integrate these components into their own applications and provide a seamless experience to the users.
